On August 21st\/22nd 2024, 25 members of the Nomisma.org consortium and the DARIAH-EU Digital Numismatics Working Group from nine countries met at the R\u00f6misch-Germanische Kommission for two days of intensive discussions. The main aim of the Workshop was to coordinate the work of the Nomisma working groups in order to ensure compatibility of the Nomisma controlled vocabulary and ontology across the wide range of fields of numismatics now covered by Nomisma (<\/span>https:\/\/nomisma.org\/about\/working_groups\/<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>

Am 21. und 22. August 2024 trafen sich 25 Mitglieder des Nomisma.org-Konsortiums und der DARIAH-EU Digital Numismatics Working Group aus neun L\u00e4ndern in der R\u00f6misch-Germanischen Kommission zu einem zweit\u00e4gigen Workshop und intensive Diskussionen. Hauptziel des Workshops war es, die Arbeit der Nomisma Arbeitsgruppen zu koordinieren, um die Kompatibilit\u00e4t des Nomisma Normadaten und der Ontologie in den vielen, diversen Bereichen der Numismatik zu gew\u00e4hrleisten, die jetzt von Nomisma abgedeckt werden (https:\/\/nomisma.org\/about\/working_groups\/<\/a>).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The workshop was organized by David Wigg-Wolf (RGK\/DAI), Rahel Ackermann (Inventar der Fundm\u00fcnzen der Schweiz) and Andrew Meadows (Oxford University). Following a day of presentations of a wide range of new projects and initiatives in digital numismatics, the second day was dedicated to group discussions on individual topics, in particular iconography, the problem of modern counterfeits, medieval and modern numismatics, coin hoards and the Cultural Heritage Data Management Tool, D\u00e9dalo (<\/span>https:\/\/dedalo.dev\/<\/a>), which is increasingly being used for numismatic typologies and coin finds.<\/span><\/p>

Der Workshop wurde von David Wigg-Wolf (RGK\/DAI), Rahel Ackermann (Inventar der Fundm\u00fcnzen der Schweiz) und Andrew Meadows (Oxford University) organisiert. <\/span><\/em>Nach einem Tag mit Pr\u00e4sentationen verschiedenster neuer Projekte und Initiativen in der digitalen Numismatik war der zweite Tag Gruppendiskussionen zu einzelnen Themen gewidmet, insbesondere der Ikonographie, dem Problem der modernen F\u00e4lschungen, der mittelalterlichen und modernen Numismatik, den M\u00fcnzhorten und dem Cultural Heritage Data Management Tool D\u00e9dalo (https:\/\/dedalo.dev\/<\/a>), das zunehmend f\u00fcr numismatische Typologien und M\u00fcnzfunde eingesetzt wird.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
