A spring photograph from our archive for the monthly series! Archaeologists who excavated a century or so ago would surely be surprised if they could see today’s excavation techniques and, in particular, how the philosophy behind archaeology has changed. Meanwhile, there are numerous archaeological sciences, one of which is archaeobotany (the study of plant remains). While archaeologists were angered by 19th-century romantic botanists, who believed that they harmed all the picturesque beauty of ruins covered by plants, the modern botanist is aware that even a tiny seed can be a great source of knowledge. There are certainly many more important things to tell about Peter Neve, who was the long-standing director of \u1e2aattu\u0161a excavations for a long time, but today we would just like to share one of his hundreds of photographs of plants and flowers which reflect his love and interest for the botany of Bo\u011fazk\u00f6y.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
