CHR."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">The Indian Ocean has been a highly frequented sailed region since ancient times. From the late first century BC, Roman merchants also sent ships from the Red Sea to India, importing coveted luxury goods throughout the Roman Empire, especially to Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Reflections of this trade can be seen in some Roman images. For example, Roman representations of India appear in mythical images of the triumph of Dionysos, which tell of luxury and conquest.
