Among the participants were also some researchers of the SPP Entangled Africa. Their research on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dainst.blog\/entangled-africa\/en\/p02-connecting-foodways-en\/\">food habits and ceramics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dainst.blog\/entangled-africa\/en\/p07-routes-of-interaction-en\/\">settlement networks at the tributaries of the Nile<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dainst.blog\/entangled-africa\/en\/p05-cultivated-landscapes-en\/\">landscape use<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dainst.blog\/entangled-africa\/en\/p06-degree-en\/\">environmental change in Africa<\/a> enriches both networks and connects institutions in Germany and Africa.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-34bc53a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"34bc53a\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-533763d\" data-id=\"533763d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e5db67f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e5db67f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This year, the focus of the academic exchange &#8211; in addition to reports on projects in e.g. Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan or Eswatini &#8211; was on international progress in the field of archaeology concerning the colonial period. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ug.edu.gh\/archaeology\/staff\/wazi-apoh\">Prof. Wazi Apoh<\/a> and his team from the Department of Archaoelogy and Heritage Studies at the University of Accra have been devoting themselves to this special area of archaeological research for several years. The DAI is particularly concerned with the German colonial history of the African continent as part of its own reappraisal of the past. The most recent project to be included in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dainst.blog\/tana\/archaeology-of-german-colonialism\/\">TANA<\/a> is the work of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archaeologie.hu-berlin.de\/de\/personal\/kleinitz\">Dr. Cornelia Kleinitz<\/a>, who is currently researching at the KAAK in Bonn.
