Is an archaeologist based at the German Archaological Institute in Berlin and Frankfurt/Main. Her research interests lie in the Neolithic and Bronze Age from the Levant to the Carpathian Basin with a focus on the archaeology of food and conflict. Currently she is looking into innovations in plant food during the Early Neolithic at Göbekli Tepe (Turkey) and the Late Neolithic in Shir (Syria) as well as the social dimensions and commensal use of food in the Late Bronze Age (Romania).
