Das Archiv der Außenstelle Teheran beherbergt Grabungsdokumentationen wie Tagebücher, Skizzen, und eine reiche Fotosammlung aus den Anfangszeiten deutscher Forschungen in Iran bis heute. Weltkulturerbestätten wie Persepolis, Pasargadae, Bisotun, Takht-e Soleyman und Firuzabad sind fast 100 Jahre dokumentiert, es finden sich aber auch viele Ruinenstätten, deren Zustand sich über die Jahre stark verändert hat.

Almost 100 years of travel and research are collected in the archive of the Tehran, and that is not only “excavation“. Diaries, handwriting scripts, private photo documentations, and legacies of associated researchers complete our long-term documentation and knowledge about Iranian Cultural Heritage, inclusive the most famous ones like Persepolis, Pasargadae, Bisotun, Takht-e Soleyman and Firuzabad.
