Constructive and objective discussions

On this site the German Archaeological Institute presents its research work. We appreciate constructive and objective comments by users. Please stay on topic; posts that are not relevant to the respective blog will be hidden from view. You can communicate interesting content at any time, of course, either by leaving a recommendation or sending us a message. We welcome factual and constructive criticism that will help us to further improve the DAI’s digital offering.

Consideration and respect

The basis for constructive dialogue is an attitude of consideration and respect for others. Please bear in mind that this is a forum for dialogue with people with different opinions and from different backgrounds. Therefore be careful to avoid misunderstandings and ambiguities. We don’t accept any insulting, defamatory, abusive or threatening remarks directed at our users or personnel. Such comments are deleted or hidden with a note referring to these netiquette principles. We furthermore reserve the right to delete comments and posts that violate valid legislation and/or this netiquette. Included hereunder, without limitation, is content which glorifies violence, is pornographic, sexist, racist, criminal, radical, hostile to the Constitution or liable to put minors at risk.

Commercial content and advertising

Posts that contain commercial content or advertising are not welcome on our website. Such content will be removed immediately.

Third parties‘ rights

Respect the rights of third parties. These include copyright, personal, image and trademark rights. Therefore please don’t post any content in our blogs which you do not hold the rights to. Make sure that images you post do not infringe the personal rights of other parties. Posts and images from the German Archaeological Institute’s blog portal can be shared on Facebook, but please don’t use the content offered here in other contexts and without naming the author.

Data protection
